Managed the Adopt-A-Highway Program for an entire District that includes over 300 volunteers. As an Adopt-A-Highway Coordinator, I have managed outreach with the public to determine eligibility, support selection process, issue permits, and monitor performance against standards. I devoted a lot of my time to managing the program’s database that allows me to generate reports and permit applications at my disposal. Sustainability- As a Sustainability Champion I met monthly with the Sustainability Champions Team to help incorporate initiatives that each division can practice in their work place. The Maintenance Sustainability Committee provides open communication on implementing sustainable efforts. It also gives the Sustainability Champion a chance to inform the committee on the topics discussed within the Champions Team meetings. LOS Assistant- As an assistant to LOS (Level of Service), I helped our LOS Team in Maintenance Support evaluate 345 Roadway Segments, 100% of rest areas, vista points and park & rides. We would mark down “Needs” on segment sheets that are filled out while evaluating. Many safety related issues are then made into Needs Reports to garner more specialized attention. Following our Criteria sheets, we would evaluate all assets within our Right-of-Way. We would generate and submit Service Requests to Area Supervisors. Needs Reports, which are filled out in the field, would be sent to the Area Superintendent and Region Manager for their review. EOC Scribe- I was designated as the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) Scribe in Maintenance Support. My duties include recording important events, communicating with essential personnel and maintaining readiness during emergency events. I was also responsible for creating a word document containing chronological events from the start of EOC activation to EOC deactivation. I participated in monthly EOC drills, and I was one of the EOC Scribes for the Camp Fire back in November of 2018.
