Responsible for the development and implementation of the SPANA brand across all external and internal communications, as well as writing and editing their magazine (SPANA News) and annual review. Key achievements include:• Carrying out a wide consultation on our current brand to identify its strengths and weaknesses and whether there was any need for us to rebrand• Revising and streamlining the current brand guidelines, including incorporating stronger social media, web and video guidance• Developing an online and social media strategy for SPANA News content• Refreshing the look and content of SPANA News.

Edited two issues of this local magazine, as well as writing news stories, features, headlines and cover copy. Key achievement was developing and implementing the magazine’s first ever ‘take-over’ issue to launch Lewisham’s bid to be named London Borough of Culture. This specially themed and branded issue highlighted all the cultural aspects, events and projects in the borough, raising awareness and driving significant traffic and support, which contributed to Lewisham ultimately winning the accolade for 2021.

Played a key role in overhauling, modernising and rebranding the organisation’s publishing output, both in print and online, to make it one the industry leaders in this area. Key achievements included:• Leading on the rebranding of our entire print and online portfolio, working with designers to develop a specific visual identity within the larger brand and implementing this across over 100 publications• Rationalising the portfolio, identifying duplication, gaps and user need• Writing a new house style as part of a full rebrand, as well as a series of writing resources explaining the language we should use around dementia, people living with the condition, disabilities and other marginalised groups• Rewriting and rebranding the charity’s flagship publication, The Dementia Guide, including translated versions and a series of audio and video versions, which was key to the launch of the new brand.
