Responsible for proposal layout, statements of qualifications, and other documents based on technical analyses and information provided by other departments and clients. Proposal material preparation included organizing, writing, and editing resumes, project descriptions, corporate background information, and presentations into clear, concise documents, and ensuring comprehensive conformance with all client requirements. Michael also worked with personnel in a variety of disciplines: such as contracting; soil, groundwater, and surface water remediation; wetlands; biology; construction and estimating; and sales in the production of proposals.

This position required technical knowledge, diplomacy, and the ability to pull together many different resources on a daily basis. Provided writing and editing for Vice President and Corporate Client Manager and project-specific staff, including reports, procedures, proposals, statements of qualifications, work plans, technical reports; produced marketing materials for domestic and international clients; organized and participated in proposal training course; edited and proofread project documents for formatting, style, content, and grammar.

Managed all administrative functions including, human resources/personnel department, office management, and engineering project secretarial support. Specific responsibilities included: administrative assistant to Vice President/Partner; writing, editing, rewriting, developing marketing presentations and proposals; document production (formatting, layout, organization), organizational charts, tables, figures, proposals, technical reports, and correspondence between MFG and clients on technical projects such as Superfund remediation sites (e.g., the Bunker Hill Superfund Site – second largest in the contiguous United States – RI/FS in 5 volumes, and Technical Memoranda and Work Plans in 12 volumes) wetlands construction projects; hazardous waste management; groundwater monitoring; geological survey projects.
