To potential employers,To say the least, anyone’s experience are just a sum of all the troubles, trials, challenges a person has overcome. My experience as a Boy Scout, and then eventually Eagle Scout taught me valuable outdoor skills in life saving, cooking, and organization. However, looking back the most important qualities was that I was given responsibility at such a young age. I had to care about more than just myself, I had other children that riled on my part. Boy Scouts, would be a great catalyst for my navy career. My fours year I was on board USS Nimitz as a security officer. During my four years I acquired a good amount of chest candy, and awards for my hard work and attitude. I was appointed as a squad leader, which had me I charge of just six people. None the less, every position has its ups and its downs. My ship was the only aircraft carrier that could be deployed during Covid, so in short we were out to sea for an entire year. I was able to sea some ports but not much; again it was one of those experiences that gave me qualities in character that can not be so easily obtained. USN, kept me out of trouble with a purpose, gave me life long brothers, sisters, the ability to obtain an opportunity to study at NYU, and most importantly; the navy gave me a sense of direction in life. I study now to earn a degree in economics with the intentions of working for the people of NY state.
