With over a decade of experience in celebrity online and print journalism, Michael has interviewed the entertainment industry’s most sought-after and esteemed celebrities, including Meryl Streep, Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Corden, Idina Menzel, Ben Platt, Ariana Grande, Daniel Radcliffe, Bruce Willis, Carol Burnett and countless others. Thrust into the entertainment industry immediately following his graduation from Montclair State University, he has worked for major publications, including People Magazine, Playbill, The Messenger and Star Magazine. Michael is an experienced editor and a driven reporter. As Playbill’s Features Managing Editor, he developed a network of freelance writers, employing over a dozen new contributors. His proudest accomplishments include growing Playbill’s social media platforms from their beginnings and producing the company’s first special edition Pride Issue, distributed annually to theatregoers during LGBTQ+ Pride Month. He also served as Star Magazine’s Senior Editor, creating and directing the weekly magazine’s celebrity editorial, and contributed to a slew of American Media Inc.’s various other titles (Us Weekly, Men’s Journal and OK! Excited by taking risks and seizing new opportunities, Michael left his post at Star Magazine to pursue his dreams of performing and toured the East Coast with the North American Tour of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (understudying the roles of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Linus). He continued on in his journalism career and was brought on to digital media startup The Messenger as the publication's Head of Breaking News for Entertainment; he led Entertainment news coverage there until the company shuttered on Jan. 31, 2024.
