Mr. Giraldi was instrumental in defining the documentation of the most complex medical product that I have ever designed in my seventeen year career as product development engineer. We collaborated on a blood plasma processing device with more than 300 custom parts. It is a Class III medical device with no FDA predicate. He helped build the device, from things as mundane as tapping holes, to learning a complex piece of electrical harness layout and design software that I myself had never used. He delivered harness layouts and boms for over half of the 100+ harnesses that went into the final device. He is well spoken and polite. So much so that I had him lead a client-facing portion of a design review for an electrical subsystem of the plasma processor - just weeks into his internship. He does well in nailing down requirements for poorly specified projects, including his successful methodology of moving component swept volume generation in Solidworks. This method helped us ensure no collisions during the design of a 5+ axis of motion laboratory sample processing robot. I will also note his respect and willingness to learn from the machinists, drafters, and techs at our company.
