Debug/Analyze current Visual Basic applications that used Oracle to Access a variety of information Developed Visual Basic 6.0 utilities to import and export data to the Oracle Database Designed and implemented a variety of Visual Basic applications to access, create and insert data with the use Oracle 7 Setup up a program that established an Oracle connection, then pulled a variety of information based on particular criteria. Once the criteria was met a drive would be mapped to designated server (with user ID and Password) where files would be copied to that specified location. These files would later be run to perform a conversion of that particular Server. Designed and implemented a program to read registry setting in Windows NT. Then check to see if a particular service was running, if one of these criteria were not met the service would be started automatically. If an unwanted service was running, it would be stopped and the correct service would be started. If a problem arose an email and a page would be sent to myself and others that were responsible for this project. Setup a program to initialize an oracle Database connection. Determine if the office is a test office or production office by way of user interface (option buttons). A text file is then opened for output. Oracle 7 is used to query the desired information. Once this query is run, the gathered information is used for parameters to connect to a specific database, where (more specific) information is found. The information that is gathered is written to a text file.
