Graduate (December 2020) with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies of Nonprofit Management and Communications. I am an A.L.L. pediatric cancer survivor (2010-2013) with a passion for helping others. My main interest in the future is to utilize what I have learned in school and in life to work with (Pediatric) Cancer Relief Nonprofit Organizations. My experience with cancer is what drives my passion to help others especially when it comes to helping those affected by cancer. During my treatment for Leukemia during high school, I spearheaded the idea for a fundraiser for teen lounges at the Lurie Children's Memorial Hospital. The fundraiser raised money through my high school hockey team and the high school cheer program, it raised a little less than $19,000, which went towards two separate teen lounges, one inpatient and one outpatient on the oncology floors. 2010-2013 Not only that but, during this time I started giving back to the cancer community by working with the Christopher Steele Foundation. I became a student ambassador and stewarded a relationship with the Spirit Week Selection Committee to nominate Christopher Steele for their annual fundraiser; which ended up raising $22,000. After a couple of years and when I graduated high school, I was voted in as a board member(2013) which I had the privilege of serving on until the organization's dissolution in 2017.
