The experience of change comes with a price, never as costly as to never experience it. With a love for people and caring for others, I began early to be in restaurant work at Mt. Vernon Country Club, where I remember spilling Sweet Tea in the lap of a Senator, (sorry;). After drinking stolen champagne and wrecking a golf cart, I began restaurant work until I encountered the pains of drug use. I was beat up badly and decided to change my life, now encountering evil for the first time, I wanted to help the world. I began turning to God and the Bible, when I decided to go to the Memphis School of Preaching. I began a career of Preaching. As I began youth ministry single I became extremely lonely. But in the distance from church work I married, then regained a responsibility as a preacher in South Carolina, Fort Wayne, IN, and Milan MI. Due to marital problems I resigned, and yet again found myself with immorality and drug abuse. I pled guilty to 14 year sentence, and was incarcerated for 56 months and finished parole without issue. I had lost all. I devoted my time mostly to studying the Bible. I grew spiritually, but was not seeking a work of a preacher. When I was released I lived with a faithful Christian couple who were amazing mentors and guides. I began preaching again. Again I fell to immorality and substance abuse after some years of busy-ness being a single father and business owner. I knew something was wrong and was back and forth between fear, faith, and pride. I changed careers to sales: RVs, Cars, Gutters, and Websites; nothing could fill the emptiness or alleviate the depression. My parents died in 2021. I left for Colorado where I had the battle for my soul in a vicious cycle. I came back to Kentucky, and went to a rehab. Upon God's leading I went to D.C. where I lived among the homeless. I returned to Kentucky, sold my home, and moved to Glasgow, Kentucky. Currently I am facing charges. This time it is not the same. God has brought me great healing and taught me to depend on Him, and is continually teaching me. My faith is not the same, and has overcome the fear and pride. Whereas I use to trust in myself and ended in depression, I have been sober now for almost 6 months, and looking forward to the work God has called me to. I find a heart for those who were given low success possibilities in faith and are in need of basic life lessons of Love, Faith, Kindness, and especially Jesus Christ. I look forward to incarceration as a way to both help others and allow God to purify my whole body, soul, and mind.
