Site based project engineering role to deliver a range of capital works. The scope of delivery includes CAPEX request preparation, financial control of project, delivery and construction management.

In this role I supported the companies efforts to remove an old metal stamping line and replace it with a new un-coiler, flattener and two presses. The system was integrated into other downstream processing and was within a safety perimeter fencing system. The aged PLC (Square D) was upgraded and incorporated within the architecture of the new PLC (AB).

In this role I have been delivering critical infrastructure upgrades as the site based project engineer. The projects are capital maintenance and delivered in an operational logistics centre that handles ambient and chilled dairy products

Don Castlemaine are an iconic brand in Australia and produce a range of quality smallgoods and pork products.In this role I managed a portfolio of capital, process improvement and maintenance projects. I was responsible for the preparation of budget, scope and the safe delivery of the works.

Luv-a-Duck are a well known Australian grower and processor of quality duck products. While in this role I managed a range of engineering projects at the Nhill abattoir including sustaining and capital maintenance works.As the Engineering Projects Manager I was responsible for developing the budget, scope and schedule for capital and major maintenance projects and delivering them within an operational facility that consisted of an abattoir with whole bird processing, portioning and value add ready to eat lines.

Beca are an employee owned Engineering Consultancy with head offices in Auckland, New Zealand.While in this role I was largely out of office, working at remote client facilities on a FIFO basis where I led small teams dedicated to maintenance and shutdown planning, scheduling, commissioning and field engineering in the mining, metals and chemical sectors. The work was in or adjacent to explosive rated areas and included field engineering and construction management tasks.I have also completed Construction Management roles in mission critical brownfield environments in the food sector with additional food sector work includes managing a small engineering support team and developing conceptual solutions for client maintenance issues.I have also completed consultancy engagements where I investigated failures of static plant (possible warranty claims) located in a major Australian infrastructure project.

Parsons Brinckerhoff are an engineering consultancy in the infrastructure sector. While in this role I undertook the role of an Engineering Consultant and I completed the technical due diligence for Stage 2 of the CCS Flagships program. I held the role of Lead Technical Advisor and I supervised the small team who were under my direction. Prior to the proponent presentations I analysed their submissions and prepared a report on the findings. A recommendation was made to the independant advisory panel and this informed the minister. I also completed several energy options studies in the mining sector and undertook a technical due diligence on the buyers side in the energy sector. I provided technical input to several studies sponsored by the Global CCS Institute.

Hatch Associates are a global engineering consultancy in the metals, mining, chemicals, infrastructure and energy sectors. In this role I was the site based manager of an alliance team that was responsible for the delivery of sustaining and capital maintenance projects that formed the approved maintenance plan for the facility. I provided technical guidance to the team as well as the leadership and administrative tasks associated with their employment. As a member of the alliance management team I also reviewed the larger proposals of my peers for technical content, financial accuracy, deliverability and return on investment. I led quality and safety initiatives for my own staff and routinely instructed others at company training sessions on these topics as well as introducing innovation to their own work.Another responsibility was to provide technical due diligence for buyer and seller side IPO assignments in the metals and manufacturing sectors. This work required extensive travel and I have reviewed over 20 global facilities when preparing the technical description and competent persons report for the client. I have also led due diligence assignments where I investigated a wider business brief including the entities social license to operate, equality and opportunity for staff, safety and environmental compliance.I have experience in the commercialisation of technology and have led several technical studies or gap analysis of technology concepts.

The Kempe group engineer and manufacture material handling equipment that is used in the heavy industrial, metals sector (aluminium).In this role I was responsible for the daily administration, technical direction (design files and drawing packages) and leadership of an office based team of 16 staff. The projects that were completed were for modifications to anode bake ovens at sites in India and United Arab Emirates. A key achievement of mine was to reduce the error levels in drawings before being presented for checking which meant the office productivity increased.I worked from the UAE client site when required as part of the design process.

The purpose of Goodwin and Associates was to provide independent design advice, concept to first run product development, technical representation and technical due diligence in the renewable energy sector.During this period I completed the due diligence of a conceptual remote area power station for an investor group.

Cameron are world leaders in the design and manufacture of land and subsea valves, well heads and equipment used for oil and gas exploration and production.In this role I was primarily responsible for the engineering design of land and subsea products and once designed, I continued my technical responsibility through manufacture, testing and first field trials. I was the companies designated competent person for the disposition of all non conforming products. I was ANST Level II trained in dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection and I built up a deep technical knowledge of welding, heavy fabrication and large scale machining.Part of my role was to lead a small team of engineers and designers on a daily basis and I was responsible for their administration and technical supervision. I was required to stand in for the Melbourne Engineering Manager during any absence and lead the complete engineering function of the office. Several times a year I would travel to Singapore to take over the Engineering Managers role in that office when the incumbent was on home leave. This office was larger and I had approximately 20 direct reports there.

Working as an independent contractor, I completed numerous mechanical equipment designs in the metals, manufacturing and food sectors. Additional responsibilities were the project management and commissioning of this new plant which included gas ducting, overhead chain conveyers, crane drives, rolling mill equipment, melt shop equipment and billet cut off machinery. I supervised trades and technical staff during installation and commissioning.

Repco are a world leader in the design and manufacture of brake and clutch components to the automotive industry.While in the Repco group, I designed machining cells, production tooling, jigs and fixtures as well as programming CNC machinery. I wrote production method statements, completed small project management tasks and undertook the range of general planning and scheduling tasks associated with a high volume manufacturing and production environment

Raynors manufactured high quality trimware and assemblies for the automotive and consumer industries. While employed I completed an apprenticeship in toolmaking (3rd in state) concurrent with a structured Mechanical Engineering Cadetship. I gained experience in press tools, plastic injection dies, aluminium and zinc injection tooling, assembly methods, decorative finishes such as polishing, plating, anodizing, vacuum metallizing, painting, roll forming and screen printing.
