I cultivate effective relationships with clients and industry stakeholders, championing their interests and serving as the central point for issue escalation within Network Rail.My responsibilities include preparing, developing, and reviewing project remits to ensure viability and optimise requirements, value for money, and network availability. I collaborate with stakeholders to establish scopes that align with future development needs and whole-life cost considerations.I am accountable for developing project plans and budgets, specifying delivery methods, milestones, resource needs, and funding requirements. Additionally, I prepare business cases and investment papers for projects and identify cost efficiencies and process improvements while effectively managing change.In managing solutions that maintain national railway accessibility, I ensure 'business as usual' operations for our customers. I lead and challenge project teams to deliver within scope, timelines, and cost parameters, communicating progress to stakeholders and implementing contingency measures when necessary.Negotiating commercial and contractual terms with customers and stakeholders is another key aspect of my role, in alignment with corporate policy and strategy. I ensure compliance with investment regulations, corporate governance, and the PACE process, adhering to safety, finance, legal, and corporate affairs protocols.Furthermore, I lead and develop my team to achieve business objectives and meet performance measures, prioritising their development, engagement, safety, and welfare.
