I have been in the financial industry for over 25 years. I entered straight out of college where I attended Cal State Fullerton and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Finance. I started in the rip roaring markets of 1999 as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in La Jolla. In 2001 I was hired to Smith Barney in La Jolla by Laurel founder Lee Tripodi. I built a strong practice based around great client relationships. I also started lecturing at Mira Costa and several other adult schools on Women's Financial planning. I worked for Smith Barney for almost ten years and watched the firm struggle as Citibank became a huge influence on our business practices. In 2008 with the meltdown of the global financial markets I became disenfranchised with the behemoth financial firms I had been working for. I had a strong background in financial planning and decided to join Ameriprise Financial the recognized market leader in financial planning. In April 2012 Lee Tripodi approached me and showed me his vision for the RIA he had founded, Laurel Wealth Advisors. I was ready for a new chapter in my career something new fresh and dynamic. Somewhere I could give my clients everything they deserved and feel the satisfaction of knowing I had done the best for them. What Laurel was creating was a perfect fit to how I envisioned running my practice. I was also very excited to get to work with one of my mentors in the industry. So I decided on the spot to join Laurel and moved my practice on the 14th of May 2012. I have worked as an RIA with Laurel for the past 12 years. I have very much enjoyed working in an RIA capacity. I feel it puts me on the same page as my clients and we are a team. Laurel was bought by Integrated Wealth Concepts in 2023. Integrated Is a very unique firm that focuses not just on RIA practices but brings in financial planning and partners with CPA's across the country. It has been a great match for my practice. The markets are dynamic, ever changing and full of surprises. It is thrilling and terrifying to try to navigate markets. Being patient and sticking to solid asset allocation will bring peace of mind and great results.
