I am a Doctorate of Statistics student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating from UNL with a a BS in Mathematics and a focus in statistics, I did some coursework at Columbia University in the City of New York.While an undergrad, I worked through the University as a resource center counselor, in-class learning assistant, honors teaching assistant for calculus II, and advanced grader for Real Analysis and Modern Algebra courses. I also had the great pleasure of helping over two dozen students individually improve their scores on various standardized tests--notably the Praxis and the GRE--as well as helping them grasp mathematics topics ranging from algebra up through the calculus series and into analysis, modern algebra, abstract algebra, linear algebra, and statistics. I tutored high school students and graduating seniors knocking out their last math requirement before graduate school.I love to see the joy that comes over a student and his or her family when they get their final grade back and it's exactly what they are looking for. I particularly enjoy helping students get "A" in every other subject. After receiving a perfect on the quantitative section of the GRE (I also received perfect marks on the math sections of both the SAT and ACT), I was accepted to Columbia University's Data Science Institute to pursue a MS in Data Science. With my MS, I aim to work in finance and eventually pursue a PhD either in Data Science or Economics.
