Since 2012, I have worked as a member of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas' communications team. I currently serve as the Editor in Chief for its print productions, including The Texas Catholic, a 55,000-circulation newspaper highlighting parishes, schools, and faith communities within the diocese; and Revista Católica, a Spanish-language monthly magazine focused on highlighting the Hispanic faith population within the diocese. For 14 months, I also led the diocese's communications team on an interim basis, directing a team that oversees the digital, print, video and social media platforms for both the diocese's internal and external communications, media relations, and marketing efforts. Prior to joining the Diocese of Dallas, for 16 years, I worked for a company that focused on community newspapers, working my way from an entry level sports reporter to covering city and county governments to serving as managing editor and eventually publisher of four different publications.
