Mike serves as Associate Counsel at the USPTO, handling a wide variety of employment and administrative matters, including litigation in federal court, the MSPB, and the EEOC. Mike advises and assists the agency with employment issues and the disciplinary process, handles internal and external investigations, and counsels USPTO managers in a number of significant matters. Prior to joining the USPTO, Mike was Of Counsel at Wiley, where he represented insurers in complex litigation involving general liability, professional liability, and property insurance coverage. He provided advice and counsel on a wide range of insurance issues, including environmental liability, bodily injury and property damage claims, employment matters, director and officer liability, legal malpractice and other errors and omissions claims, bankruptcy, technology, emerging issues, and bad faith.
