Design of manufacturing processes for cold rolled, near net shape, turbine engine components for the aerospace industry and land and marine based power generation.Utilization of AutoCAD and FEA software to design and develop the best process to keep the cost low while maintaining profitable margins.• Process ownership from RFQ until the product is shipped to the customer.• Design of key dimensional characteristics at each operation to yield a conforming product.• Dimensional review using SPC analysis.• Design of associated tooling and fixtures.• Purchasing of raw forging material and coordination with outside vendors and contractors for manufacturing of necessary tooling.• Responsible for time and material input weight reductions.• Directly involved in Six Sigma Kaizen events to create lean cell manufacturing.
