I joined the McCormick Painting Services team when there was only 3 employees total. Over the past 4 years, the company has grown to include 9 employees, 3 company vehicles, and a 2000-square-foot shop. I have been able to fulfill labor and project management positions that have been critical to the growth of the business. My time at MPS has allowed me to improve my on-the-fly problem-solving abilities and shown me the high level of achievement that can be attained by becoming a lifetime student. My project management position includes...• Contacting clients through email, call, or text to introduce the company and arrange a time to complete their project• Leading a team of 2-4 coworkers to complete interior and exterior residential painting projects• Formulating solutions to on-cite problems caused by a dynamic working environment when they occurred • Tailoring and executed plans to complete over 60 unique painting projects during the summers of 2021 and 2022

During my time at HyVee, I was able to gain valuable people skills. As a high schooler, this job allowed me to interact and create conversations with customers. I was also to improve my customer service skills by answering customer questions or helping them solve problems.
