Michael Gursha is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO at Point Curve, a media and technology company that owns and operates various consumer Internet brands and technology businesses. Michael leads and oversees operations, strategy, finance, investor relations, corporate & business development and partnerships for the organization.Michael is also the co-founder and CEO at rookieroad.com, a digital sports encyclopedia that provides the rules, lingo and gameplay for all sports globally. Michael helped build the brand into a global destination becoming one of the most popular sports websites on the Internet.Michael is an active advisor / board member to early stage technology / media companies. He advises various companies in the areas of digital media, entertainment, consumer internet, and artificial intelligence. Michael is a board member for Bettle Inc. a social first fantasy sports app and was previously a board member for PowerSpike, Inc. a destination for activating sponsorships in the creator community until its acquisition in 2022.Michael serves on the national board of directors for America On Tech, a nonprofit organization with a mission to prepare the next generation of technology leaders by creating pathways for young people to thrive in technology and innovation. He is a member of the board’s audit committee (former Chair) and governance committee (former Chair). Michael serves on the board of directors for Sport Oregon an organization which has served as Oregon’s sports economic development arm for three decades, injecting more than $750 million into Oregon’s economy through sports tourism. Michael is a member of the Newhouse Emerging Leaders Board which exists to support and counsel the Dean of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is Chair Emeritus of the Young Whitman Advisory Council and a former member of the Whitman Advisory Council at the Whitman School of Management. Michael was previously a board member for the Contemporary Art Council at the Portland Art Museum and an advisory board member for Oregon Public Broadcasting, the primary television and radio public broadcasting network for Oregon and southern Washington.Michael graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude with a dual degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He splits his time between Oregon and New York.
