    As a Bond Election Consultant, I assist with raising funds to help pass the bond.In 2024, I was on the committee to help pass Measure “O” for the La Habra, California School District $73 million school bond. Measure “O” focused on the need to make critical repairs and upgrades at all schools in the District, with a focus on elementary schools. Most of the schools were built over 60 years ago, and some have failing infrastructure and in great need of significant structural repairs and upgrades. We ran a mail, digital and targeted field campaign. With Measure “O”, we secured a huge win for La Habra students with a sustainable source of local funding for years to come - with 63% support. Part of my responsibility as a Bond Election Consultant is to register the Campaign Committee by filing the Statement of Organization (Form 410) with the FFPC. Form 410 provides the public with information about the committee’s purpose and identifies the committee’s treasurer. I was also responsible for submitting the Recipient Campaign Statement (Form 460). Form 460 is filed to report the committee’s expenditures and contributions.Another role I have is serving as a member of a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (“CBOC”) which requires critical thinking. The committee is the eyes and ears of the community to hold the school district accountable for spending bond funds authorized by the voters. We review reports and information provided by the district. The committee reports to the public its findings including both positive observations about the efficiency and effectiveness of the district as well as areas for improvement.
