After a four year period conducting research and development activities for a Fortune 500 company I began a military career in 2003 by enrolling in the Army ROTC Simultaneous Membership Program at North Carolina State University. I entered active duty in 2005. Since 2006, I have completed two combat tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. In 2013 I completed the US Army's Theater Logistics Planners Program and earned a Masters of Science in Managerial Logistics with a concentration in Humanitarian and Disaster Relief. I then completed a utilization tour as an Operational Planner in the the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) at Fort Eustis, VA. The next phase of progression was "the best year of my life" as a student at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS. I then served as a Division Transportation Officer and Battalion Executive Officer in the 2nd Infantry Division. After my time in Korea, I was assigned to Army Materiel Command where I serve as the Aide de Camp to the Deputy Commanding General. I then completed a joint assignment as a Plans Officer and then served as the Executive Officer to the Director of Logistics at the United States European Command. Currently, I am the Commander of the 839th Transportation Battalion.
