Personal Injury litigation

Business Transactional and Litigation Law Firm: Engage in pre-trial functions of litigation focused on elder financial abuse as well as will, trust, and estate disputes. Conduct new client intake, evaluation and engage in case development.

I worked directly with Judge Portley and his law clerks in managing and take care of the daily case load in the Judge's Chamber. I was assigned a number of cases to read, research, and brief the Judge on. I would write an opinion for Judge Portley and establish a legally sound resolution to the parties' dispute which the Judge would adopt and submit to his panel for final decision.

Before law school, I was taught the basics of legal drafting and legal research. I drafted the necessary documents and forms for all types of business entities and filed them in the appropriate state agency. I also assisted in trial preparation, including depositions and discovery.
