My background consists of over 35 years experience in piping design in the following sectors of industry: Petrochemical, Offshore, Mining & Metals, Chemical, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Pharmaceutical (greenfield and brownfield). My main experience is in piping design, equipment location with overall plant layout. I have site experience that includes routing piping and tie-ins. I have provided supervisory guidance to other piping designers, checkers role and participated in client and inter-discipline model reviews; ensuring proper space management & resolution of clashes in the 3D model are maintained. I have used 3D Laser scans in the development of brownfield models. Extracting isometrics c/w bill of materials (reflecting flow diagram content) from the model has been my main focus of work. In earlier years, I used a drafting board to create manual drawings for project deliverables.My 3D Cad software experience is: E3D -1 yr. PDMS - 14 years, SmartPlant - 2 years, PDS - 3 years, AutoCAD Plant 3D - 8 mos., Rebis Autoplant - 1 year, avisworks - 7 years .My 2D Cad software experience is: AutoCad - 5 years, Microstation - 2 years.
