Performed demand management activities to review utilization, growth projections and available capacity to ensure cost effective implementation assuring a current utilization level of approximately 65% with 6 month growth projections. Collaborated with internal development teams enhancing technology forecasting and workflow applications ensuring our requirements were incorporated. Improved provisioning SLA time to 5-10 days by enforcing server configuration standards which minimized re-work and expedited completion of 150 to 200 requests per week. Enforced tiering, replication standards and SAN stack component standards for all SAN requests. This improved completion time and minimized re-work by SAN and systems administration teams in order to meet the 5-10 day SLA. Negotiated with global regional teams in EMEA, ASPAC and LATAM to incorporate common standards across all regions. Partnered with project management and application teams on SAN re-tiering efforts to migrate non-critical data to lower cost storage. Over 18 months migrated 1.3PB of storage resulting in approximate cost savings of $1.4 million.
