Michael Hagarty has over 42 years of experience in executive, managerial and technical leadership roles for some of the world’s leading planning, design/engineering and construction management firms. His experience has focused on providing program, project and construction management services on large, complex programs and projects. He also has extensive experience in facilities management and assisting customers to meet best practices in planning, design, project delivery and operational standards. Among his accomplishments, he has directed over 600 projects, with a construction value exceeding $55 billion. He is the Director of Facilities Planning, Construction and Maintenance at Camden County College. Additionally, as the Director of Project Management for the CCIA, he is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, design/engineering, construction and operations/maintenance of various facilities and infrastructure projects in Camden County. Previous projects include the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and the Rutgers University Graduate Student Housing Project.Prior to joining Camden County, he served as Vice President for an international construction management and consulting firm. Prior to that, he served as Vice President for an international multidisciplinary engineering, construction and technical services firm, as well as Regional Director and Managing Director of operations in Europe, where he was responsible for providing management oversight, guidance and QA/QC for all projects. He instituted the development/ implementation of policies and procedures that resulted in company ISO 9000 certification.Michael Hagarty has guest lectured at the University of Pennsylvania and Bristol, Cambridge and Loughborough Universities (United Kingdom) on program, project and construction management; the development and implementation of program controls systems; project delivery systems, including design/build; and business process reengineering.
