As CFO for a start up organization, I was responsible for the cash flow forecasting, monthly financial reporting, year end statements and working papers, managing the year end audit and all regulatory reporting requirements. I also played a key role in all of the business set up and creation of the Shareholders Agreement.

As CFO (for the Artel Farms group of companies), I was responsible for the annual budget, cashflow forecasting, monthly financial reporting, Dashboards, inventory management, year end statements and working papers, managing the year end audit and all regulatory reporting requirements. In addition to these accounting functions, I was also responsible for IT, a major software implementation, a scale integration into the accounting software, and marketing (sale) of commodities.

As CFO, I was responsible for the annual budget, cash flow forecasting, monthly financial reporting, Dashboards, product cost analysis, inventory management, sales matrix, analyzing price levels for new customers and promotional campaigns, year end statements and working papers, managing the year end audit and all regulatory reporting requirements. As Manager of Corporate Accounting I oversaw the day to day accounting operations (A/P, A/R, Banking, and Account Reconciliations), the Financial Statement creation (including consolidation of Not-for-Profit and Sponsor groups financial statements), managing the year end audit and support for numerous internal branches and external groups.Some highlights included:Early adoption of Public Sector Accounting Standards including PS4200 Series.Development and implementation of direct deposit services and including electronic notifications of settlements to vendorsRecipient of Community Spirit Award for demonstrated excellence in overall job performance, dedication, positive attitude and being a team player

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis oversaw the creation of the Department and Crown Corporation's budgets, conducted variance analysis (actual vs budget and vs prior years), created reports, salary reconciliation, forecast and cash flows.

As the Controller, I was responsible for month end reporting and variance analysis, interim and year end audit review and managed A/P, A/R, Payroll, Filing and Reception staff. In addition to the day to day accounting requirements, I was also the lead on the software conversion to TMW and Great Plains.
