I have been a founding partner and senior executive of several successful private equity and real property development/investment enterprises. My partners and I own, build, develop, and manage a diverse portfolio of real estate investments and income properties. On the private equity side, we focus on opportunities to take profitable enterprises and make them more profitable. We work across energy, education, electricity, mining, railroads and other industries. Along the way, we often find a way to “do well by doing good.“ For example, we are now involved in innovative agriculture, taking fallow and scrub land in Northern and Western Canada, making it highly productive and creating jobs. We’ve been doing the same with English literacy and STEM skills in homes and schools across North America, in selected markets. In the renewable energy field we principally developed several industrial-scale ground mount Canadian solar farm projects, delivering power to the main electrical grid. In addition to business ventures, I am very committed a wide range of community charity and non-profit organizations, including the Mackenzie Institute, Harvard Business School, The University of Pennsylvania and numerous Jewish communal organizations.
