As the Executive Director of Wake County Economic Development (WCED), I lead the economic development program and staff to grow Wake County and its 12 municipalities. Our primary function is to nurture a healthy business ecosystem where new and expanding companies can grow, and top talent can thrive. Previously, I served as the Director of Business Recruitment and Expansion for WCED; before that, I was a Project Manager at WCED. Before joining WCED, I led economic development policy efforts for the North Carolina Department of Commerce as the Director of Public Policy.I am a native North Carolinian and grew up in Jacksonville. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a BA and an MPA from East Carolina University.
