Michael Hallinger has been working intensively for over 6 years on the digitalization of the whole construction sector. Building Information Modeling or BIM for short, is the instrument that should pave the way to the future of a sustainable and transparent construction industry. However, it was clear from the outset that only an open process could be used to fully map all project or lifecycle phases. Therefore, openBIM became his passion.His main responsibilities includes the openBIM implementation in the BUWOG and projects, creation of BIM guidelines (EIR, BEP), BIM project management and BIM ProCS. Another field of activity is the BIM domain- and overall coordination.In addition to his work as a BIM Expert, he is working in different buildingSMART chapters like Austria, Germany and International.Furthermore, he works as an expert in the Institute of Austrian Standards in the standardization activity of "Automation-supported procedures for tendering and billing".
