• Managed a Western-Canadian (MB, SK, AB & BC) portfolio of mid-market ($500M to $15,000,000 in authorized credit) commercial, agricultural and multi-unit residential clients the Bank considers to be higher risk. • Met with clients upon their transfer into the Financial Restructuring Group, recommended a strategy both internally and to risk department, followedwith the clients to ensure they remain on strategy, recommended appropriations, risk rating upgrades and downgrades when appropriate, and interacted with external professionals such as lawyers and trustees on a regular basis. • Negotiated with clients to amend the terms and conditions of the authorized credit, as well as obtain additional security and/or additional cash injections into the operations were a key component of the position.• The goal of the Financial Restructuring group is to provide restructuring solutions to maintain long-term client relationships but as necessary act to limit losses and protect the bank's assets.

• Responsible for “Championing” Small Business Banking (up to $500,000 in authorized credit) for 9 retail branches spread across the Northwestern Alberta. • Directly supported nine Small Business Advisors (SBA’s) by providing them with coaching and training to help develop them into Better Business Bankers. This support took many different forms and included customer interaction coaching, joint meetings with prospects, clients and centres of influence, providing guidance on structuring deals to our small business banking credit centre as well as getting directly involved with a deal by contacting the credit centre directly. • Involved in the recruitment of new Small Business Advisors to the retail network and actively involved in helping grow TD Canada Trust's business banking market share through business development, participating in both internal activities as well as community networking functions. Part and parcel of this function was keeping close ties with the commercial, agricultural and wealth partners and getting them involved with our small business clients where applicable.

• Responsible for managing a portfolio of 40 to 50 mid-market ($500,000 to $15,000,000 in authorized credit) commercial and agricultural borrowers involved in various industries and sectors. • Analyzed the credit risk of the borrowers at time of set up and a minimum of annually and ensured the Bank's policies and guidelines were properly applied. • Made recommendations to TD’s risk department regarding client requests, completing monthly monitoring and control via the use of various systems to ensure clients were meeting their terms and obligations, ensuring that files were priced properly to factor in the risk profile of the client and ensure ongoing profitability for the Bank• Developed and maintained professional relationships with various centres of influence in the community and provided advice to them when applicable.

• Responsible for managing the Small Business Banking (up to $500M in authorized credit) segment of the retail TD Canada Trust branch network. • Specific duties included providing advise with respect to accounts, business mortgages, operating lines, term loans, merchant services, business visa’s, etc for both Small Business and Agriculture clients and prospects.• Responsible for managing higher value/potential personal clients of the retail TD Canada Trust branch network and provided advice with respect to personal lines of credit, personal loans, mortgages, mutual funds, GIC's and various other personal products.
