Being a barista was always the perfect entry-level job for me: I love coffee, and am a very social person. As both a barista and shift lead, I've dedicated years to the service and food industries, consistently developing my customer service and satisfaction skills.I've always loved doing as many different kinds of things as I can. For example, in CEGEP, I was able to balance school life with multiple other heavy workloads. I was a program representative for the First Choice Pure & Applied Science program, meaning that I helped organize multiple events for students, and was present as a line of communication between faculty and the student body. I was also an executive and founding member in the Dawson Debate Union, organizing practices, meetings, and eventually an entire high school-level debate tournament. All of this while brushing up on my physics and math!Even though I knew that STEM wasn't where I wanted to spend the rest of my life, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Dawson and always try to carry the skills I gained with me: organization, analytical skills, logic. Having both a DEC in the sciences and then a degree in Music feels like a fitting description of me: I always strive to learn and do more. Plus I like to think that my brain works both ways: while I'm a creative, artistic person at heart, the structured, academic parts of the sciences have always appealed to me too.I loved studying both, and was able to be successful in both too: I earned semestral honours 3/4 semesters at Dawson, and achieved the Dean's List 5/7 of my semesters at Berklee, ultimately graduating summa cum laude.
