Controls and Electrical Engineer for the world’s leading tailor welded products manufacturer, supplying the automotive industry. Based in Monroe Michigan our facility provides support for all North American operations, including facilities in Mexico and Canada. As the Controls and Robotics Manager for the Monroe Michigan facility, providing daily production support through contact with operators, maintenance, other engineers and supervision. Providing electrical controls and PLC programming expertise to new process implementation as well as continuous improvement on current processes. Refinement of systems integration with robotics, quality monitoring systems, and data acquisition as well as assisting remote production sites.

Working as an electrical technician in a large manufacturing facility producing plastic containers. Duties vary from typical machine maintenance, break down repairs, troubleshooting, continuous reliability improvements, to designing and implementing new safety systems, redesign and reconfiguring existing manufacturing lines, designing downstream controls for new main asset equipment coming into the facility. Exposure to a variety of advanced control systems, safety awareness, Arcflash awareness and continued improvement plans to meet customer demands. Recent work throughout the facility implementing energy savings projects such adding frequency drives to fans and pumps, taking advantage of existing drives, and implementing more automated control for direct energy savings. Phone Repair Tech for Ferris State, installing and repairing phones throughout campus, exposure to new building installations as well as renovation projects where entire office building phone systems need to be installed or moved, cable plant management, phone switch management, customer calls, prioritizing daily work tickets, overall knowledge of entire campus phone system. This position held a high degree of responsibility as a student with access to all utilities and office spaces on the entire campus.
