The work involved preparation of performance information, financial management, scheduling of meetings and formal reviews and allocation of staff to maintain business continuity covering absences, leave and responding to business priorities.

I was the local lead in Sefton for HM Government's Troubled Families, a programme designed to address issues affecting 400,000 families in England that have a high cost to the public purse. The focus is on engaging with and supporting families that cause antisocial behaviour and crime, have children that do not attend or have poor behaviour in school, children that need extra help, experience domestic violence, have poor health and where long-term or intergenerational unemployment exists. I led all operational and strategic elements of the programme, including identification of families, payment by results and staff development. The programme was completed to 100%.

Bootle

Responsible for leading three Community Safety Area Partnerships in the middle and north of Sefton. These were evidence-led, action oriented partnerships designed to reduce crime and disorder, improve the environment and the liveability of neighbourhoods in Sefton. Main duties included the chairing of each partnership on a monthly basis, holding partners accountable for their actions and delivery, as well managing specific projects in response to needs identified through data analysis and issues raised by colleagues, partners and Elected Members.

Bury

Primary responsibilities for reducing knife crime, town centre crime reduction and hate crime. Supported partnership delivery and the development of a multiagency crime reduction team with Greater Manchester Police, Fire and Rescue Service.

As a consultant I was involved in all aspects of a wide range of project work ranging from crime and disorder, substance misuse, performance improvement, service design / redesign, training and development, Outcome Management, community development, needs assessment and strategy development. I also worked directly with local people to create, develop and deliver community-led projects designed to reduce disadvantage and tackle inequality.
