Worked with Executive and Senior Leadership teams at Chorus to develop and deliver technical standards, resource plans and field capability for fibre network technology and services, and Next Generation Access (NGA) fibre services.Developed and delivered effective network technology and service capability training at a national framework and detailed programme level. Leading role in the re development of the NZQA telecommunications qualification. Responsible for the delivery of UFB and NGA capability training to over 2,000 contract service technicians and over 200 technical specialists. Led the development of New Zealand and Asia Pacific Fibre to the Home (FTTH) field practices and Next Generation Access (NGA) Fibre technical training programmes. Authored detailed field practices and technical training resources.Developed the vision and led Business Case approval for the Chorus Network Fibre Lab at 99 Khyber Pass Road, Auckland. Acted as Project Manager for the Lab build, and now acts as the operational business owner. Managed a team of implementation specialists who integrate network technology, IS technology, and service capability into the operational and field environment. Capability developed is appropriate to the diverse roles within the technical workforce. Specific outputs include technology domain plans, business analysis, capability plans and methods of procedure, task handbooks, process guides, and written and on-line training resources. People management: setting performance KRA’s with line of sight to business plan, and managing personal development plans. Forecast and manage effective resource coverage for projects across programmes of work. Manage labour recovery targets and operational budgets in line with Chorus financial policies. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Ensure Health and Safety practices are embedded into all of the Team’s activities.
