In December 2018 I stood down as the South Australia State Manager for McConnell Dowell and am now consulting to the business on a part time basis, specifically focused on tendering large infrastructure projects. I also undertake other short term consulting assignments for various clients.I am a results driven, commercially focused and dedicated leader with extensive experience in the construction, manufacturing and freight sectors, and am acknowledged for my collaborative management style and effective communication with a unique understanding of the complexities around engaging and motivating employees to maximise performance.I am a proven leader with an ability to culturally align a business that is focused on driving efficiencies whilst acknowledging the importance of market positioning, resulting in profit maximisation.SIGNIFICANT CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS◆ Repositioned and grew the McConnell Dowell Business over a 2 year period so that it now one of the leading deliverers of civil infrastructure projects in South Australia.◆ As the General Manager (Vic / SA) at Lendlease Engineering I implemented a new management structure across two states, rationalising people and functions and implementing a common operating system.◆ Increased profitability of the Baulderstone Building and Civil Construction business in South Australia by 500% over a 5 year period by implementing a well-considered growth strategy and aligning the senior management team.◆ Secured and managed significant construction projects in South Australia to ensure Baulderstone rose to become the market leader in the region, exceeding internal profit targets in every year of operation.◆ As the General Manager, Sales and Marketing for the Cement and Lime Division of Adelaide Brighton Limited, drove a safety initiative that transitioned the cement bag size from from 40kg to 20kg throughout Australia.
