I provide assistance to the US EPA and California State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) in management of leaking underground fuel tank (LUFTs) cases throughout the state.

I worked primarily in the field of leaking underground fuel tanks (LUFT), assisting the California State Water Resource Control Board in management of LUFT sites. Additional duties include field oversight of well installation and sampling for groundwater and/or soil vapor remediation at Department of Defense as well as private industrial sites.

Performs Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments for sites with a history of surface and groundwater contamination. Performs Geotechnical Site Assessments, including surface and subsurface investigations for structures including creek bank repairs, bridges, roadways, multi-use paths, and buildings as small as single family residential to as large as commercial/industrial facilities, providing foundation recommendations. Performs Construction Quality Assurance services for various public and private projects including utility replacement/repair, street construction, bridge construction, creek bank repairs, Class II solid waste landfill closure, and building foundations. Prepares California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation, including EIR sections in the fields of Geology, Hydrology, and Hazardous Materials Prepares Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for projects in sensitive areas. Oversees Questa's in-house geotechnical laboratory and trains new junior employees in the performance of ASTM and CalTrans standard tests on soil and aggregate samples.

Performed a variety of ASTM and AASHTO standard asphalt and aggregate tests. Performed data collection and mechanical maintenance of the Heavy Vehicle Simulator.Performed in-situ testing and sampling of asphalt pavement throughout the state of California.

Assisted in and taught elementary science classes for visiting schools. Assisted in development of curriculum for fourth grade physical science.

Performed ASTM and CalTrans tests on soil and aggregate samples.
