I had full responsibility and accountability for the business, including financial performance, business development, patient experience, quality, and regulatory compliance.In 2008 the UK business was loss-making, and the Board was considering divestment. I was tasked with transforming the business into a competitive and viable entity. I delivered a successful and sustained turnaround, transforming the UK business from also-ran to core Diaverum operation. Delivered sustained YOY revenue growth significantly more than market growth, all achieved organically.Selected Accomplishments:- Transformation of the UK business from a loss-making entity to a multi-million EBITDA run rate.- Increase in number of dialysis clinics from 4 to 34.- Average annual volume growth of 22% versus market growth of 1.5 - 2%. - Increase in market share of patients within the independent sector from 4% to 39%.- Increase in revenues from £4.6M to £42M.- Secured £670M of revenues (minimum) through successful tendering.- All growth achieved organically (growth in existing clinics, tender awards).- Tender success rate since 2015 of 78%.- 100% retention of re-tendered contracts (only market player to achieve this).- Won the President’s Award, given to one person per year globally, for outstanding performance.
