This position requires me to plan, develop, test, implement and maintain new and existing applications and IT systems. I manage ICT hardware, software and licenses and provide high level ICT technical expertise, advice, support and administration in accordance with departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processesI supervise and manage staff in the effective delivery of ICT support and services by ensuring that staff: follow the designated ITSM processes, deliver the range of services outlined in service agreements and system management plans and maintain a current knowledge of local systems and processes.My position provides high level oral and written advice including technical reports regarding resource capacity, capability and planning, as well as manage the performance appraisal and development of fellow staff. I also assist management in the decision making process by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit.I also establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with clients in coordinating the provision of quality information systems service delivery and assist in the delivery of ICT related projects as well as supporting quality human resource management practices.

As Project Manager in the Faculty of Science and Technology and reporting directly to the Director of Faculty this position had strategic and operational management of special projects, facilities and infrastructure utilised by the Faculty for its teaching and learning, research and administration activities. This role work in conjunction with Faculty specialist IT support services, scientific and PC laboratory support services and management of work areas for Faculty staff and research students. I also maintained operation of the Living Laboratory within the Faculty focusing on innovation and experimentation of new and emerging technologies.
