My early professional experience in the Palo Alto area included stints with a theater consultant, a landscape architect, and a designer specializing in restaurant and retail projects. After a work hiatus of a year traveling in Europe and the United States, I was hired by the San Francisco firm of Sandy & Babcock, who specialized in large-scale residential design, planning, and development.I then took the offer to collaborate with the well-known architect and proponent of the Bay Area Style, Warren Callister, at his Tiburon studio. I was able to assist in the creation of a variety of residential projects in Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, and California. After my partnership in that firm with Warren, David Gately, and Jim Bischoff, I established my own architectural practice in the late 90's in downtown Tiburon where I still maintain a thriving office.
