My primary duties are looking after our Exchange services, our Office 365 tenant and our On Prem active directory Domains, and Certificate services. As well as our server rooms environmental monitoring.This includes all parts of administering active directory from user rights down to group policies to building new domains controllers.I’m also the service owner for our hybrid exchange/office 365 tenant and I’m responsible for administering all parts of exchange and office 365.As well as day to day running's and configuration of all IT systems.This also includes my previous tasks in my system engineer role.

Day to day running or the University’s IT systems. I was one of the engineers responsible to looking after a large server estate of over 350 servers, some virtual and some Physical, as well as looking after the numerous setups we have.Some of the systems I was responsible for are AD, Exchange, file services, storage quotations, backups systems and backup reports, documentation, multi datacenters upkeep, student facing systems, OS rollout, office 365 archive, Office 365 AD sync, Office 365 licensing, student account in office 365, systems owner for Opsview “nagios” monitoring system, Novell Imanager IDM, Novel storage manager, software updates, server patching, Vmware server templates, server hardware and service, server install, remote file access.I also look at our existing system and see how we can improve the services as are offering to our staff and students and recommend changes to these system to bring them in-line with an ever changing IT focused world.I also have access to a development environment for testing builds and the latest IT systems and software.This has been a position that has been exciting and challenging as there has been a huge number of systems to learn in a forever changing environment.

Primary role was support of all systems and day to day running of the company that is Heavy Sap orientated. This included all hardware and software and warehouse systems and Wifi equipment for the company.This also covered the setup of security permissions and group policy objects for different departments.I have also been responsible for implementing monitoring for all the company servers and systems,I have also introduced the company to VM ware and hyper V systems.In doing this we were able to move their older systems to a hyper V server with greater resilience and resources.

Directly responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the helpdesk, while meeting company agreed SLA's.Responsible for assisting IT manager to ensure that the high quality of service was met for all clients.On a daily basis I was required to maintain server health checks, control everyday IT issues, and deal with the accuracy of the call updates.In this role I was tasked with many large projects, one of which was to do a complete rebuild of The Centre for High Performance Development "CHPD" terminal server system. From this I was required to complete and maintain server documentationI was also part of the rollout team for the Duke of Edinburgh award Network and terminal server system.

Maintaining the Systems, network and printers for a business with over 60 computers. Duties include maintaining production work flow for a national news paper. Setting up PC’s and MAC’S on a TCP/IP network. Maintaining Computers to the board level. Installing Software and configuring Systems for the server. Heading the development of the web site, Duties Involved designing the layout and graphics for the site and Updating the site with news and Competitions on a daily basis. As head of web development I was also looked on to improve Areas of the site that needed improvement and development
