Duties including contractual health and safety bid and budget management plans, contractor selection and management, writing of all company policies and procedures enabling ISO 9001/14001/18001 accreditation and then the compilation of all CDM documentation is in line with the management systems. Then managing all aspects of HSE for the construction phase to ongoing service warranty agreement

Responsible for in all aspects of the management and training of a team of Health and Safety engineers and officers on numerous sites across the UAE for the largest interior fit out company in the world. This includes a 350 room 7 month fast fit out on the prestigious Marina Hotel ($360m), at the YAS Island Formula 1 track. Ensuring full compliance of both local health & safety regulations and the DEPA company safety manual based on the UK health and safety regulations.

Responsible for all aspects of health and safety procedures of a £28 million multi-national construction site of a new precast school involving approving subcontractor’s questionnaires, risk assessment, method statements and site inspections collating information for the project health & safety file. As PIHL is a Danish company writing and implementation of UK policies and procedures alongside the Safety Director. As and when required act as UK Safety Director on all aspects of safety management on all PIHL UK contracts.
