My accomplishments as the Financial Analyst in the Finance Department of the Village of Schaumburg include:- Earned the distinguished 2024 GFOA Excellence in Budgeting Award as a Core Member of the Budgeting Review Team.- Led meetings to discuss fiscal goals with each of the Villages departments to produce the Fiscal Year Budget which was adopted by Village Board. - Modernized Charts used in the Monthly Financial Report which is given to the Village Managers Office and the Village Board. The revamped charts led to more timely, efficient and accurate financial reporting. - Produced tax charts that include in-depth financial analysis, trends and outlook of Sales Tax, Home Rule, Income Tax, Hotel Tax, Food & Beverage Tax, Amusement Tax and Gaming Tax. - After positive feedback from the improved charts I completed, I was asked to compile several analyses across multiple departments including; Village Manager’s Office, Economic Development, Community Development, Transportation, Mayors Office and Engineering & Public Works. - Effectively collaborated in cross department initiatives such as implementing OpenGov software. - Led the property tax rebate program for Schaumburg residents which led to informing dozens of residents of unclaimed tax exemptions.

Key Accomplishments:• VP Implementation assigned me to a project where I was responsible for the entire beginning to end of a $100,000 implementation. The project was to build a reconciliation and accounting workflow for a global company using our software and teaming up with JP Morgan. After gathering requirements from the client, I set specific dates and action items for all teams involved. The project involved receiving accurate bank files from JP Morgan with multiple entities financial transactions, building worksheets to track cashflows, assigning accounting entries and ultimately creating automatic wire transfers to sweep funds to a reconciliation account. The result of this project was a first of its kind workflow for JP Morgan, a time savings of 40 hours monthly for the clients accounting team and a cost savings for the client since they did not need to open new bank accounts for this state-of-the-art sweep structure.• VP Product and VP Implementation entrusted me with various department objectives which accelerated internal team member development and client retention. Key Accomplishments• The owners of the company entrusted me with conducting and presenting various analysis of business units, products and processes. My analysis included performing extensive margin analysis on the company’s products which resulted in adjusting pricing to increase revenue by $30,000. Ownership needed a budget/forecast for the growing distributorship, so they assigned me to put it together. This budget/forecast was the first one that ownership had seen for this business unit which resulted in enhanced visibility of sales figures, cost saving opportunities and improved key performance indicators.

Key Accomplishments• Bank of America’s Cost Center Finance Managers needed to see a daily Profit/Loss of their trading portfolios. My responsibility on a daily basis was to accurately compile the resulting P&L from various products such as Loans, Fees, Time Deposits, Derivative, FX and Collateral. The result was a reliable spreadsheet covering Bank of America’s global lines of business which allowed managers to make informed short and long term investment decisions. • The Managing Director of Middle Office gave me the responsibility of training our offshore India team how to perform a key function of our group. The task was the overall maintenance of time deposit financial instruments which included opening, adjusting and closing these instruments on a daily basis. I executed a plan of training material and instructed a team of 20 team members on how to process these requests, how to investigate which journal entries and subledgers they belonged to and how to report activity to management. This project freed up nearly 40 hours per week across the US and UK teams. This allowed our teams to take on additional responsibilities within Middle Office as well as having these instruments open earlier in the day because time zones.

Key Accomplishments• Working with Partners and Audit Managers, I collaborated on audit engagements for large privately held companies in the manufacturing, construction, real estate and non-profit industries. At the conclusion of each audit engagement, we would issue an audit opinion on the financial statements we prepared. • During tax season I filed tax returns for individuals, S-Corporations and C-Corporations in addition to helping our customers file their employee’s W-2 and 1099 forms.

Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is a 4-year, full tuition and housing scholarship that is contingent on community service, grades, recommendations, and caddy performance. Earning this scholarship has been one of my proudest moments thus far since it proves my work ethic, determination and my ability to dedicate myself to something important. When I worked as a Bag Room attendant, I was part of a 15-20 person team that oversaw both the bag drop area as well as a bagroom with 1000+ member bags. We also ran daily and annual tournaments, that included the 2nd largest member/guest tournament in the nation.

As an audit intern in the Chicago office for Grant Thornton, I was part of a several teams conducting financial statement audits for a variety of clients including manufacturing, technology and entertainment. During the 11 week internship I was given a broad perspective of the public accounting field and the value of teamwork in the workplace. I was able to travel and hone in my ability to master time management.

- Manage and oversee 30+ other Evans Scholars, and coordinate day to day activities.- Run weekly house meetings to discuss agendas, events, strategies, and to coordinate our house to be as efficient a member of our community as possible.- Attend National Committee Meetings and discuss topics regarding the Scholarships future and Topics, Issues and Ideas that the other Scholarship Houses are facing.
