I have been fortunate in finding a career early on in risk management and loss control in both the commercial insurance and private industry space. I have the last twenty five+ years applying risk management strategies and techniques in support of the independent telecommunications industry. Prior to this time, I spent a number of years involved in risk management for the wood products manufacturing industry, large and small fleet operations, the shipbuilding industry and highly protected property risks (HPR).I firmly believe that creating and maintaining positive client relationships is key to successfully implementing any risk management strategies because once a client knows you and trusts you the applied strategies will ultimately become more effective. A quality risk management practitioner, consultant or advisor must have a deep understanding of and be seriously involved (through knowledge and experience) in their client's operations and their industry to achieve a higher level of effectiveness. Helping to avoid operational losses and educating the client so that they can be in a stronger, more knowledgeable and sustainable position going forward is key.My skill set includes; Telecommunications operations risk evaluations and solutions, development and implementation of effective risk management policies and procedures, establishment of management and employee safety training programs. Extra-ordinary “Customer Focus Acumen” on building and maintaining key personal relationships, both internal and external to the organization. Investigating loss trends through frequency and severity audits. Liaison activities with the client's insurance carriers for risk mitigation, underwriting determinations and advocacy of the clients rights. Furthermore, I possess a strong entrepreneurial passion coupled with a business acumen that allows me to see my clients operations through an ROI perspective. This skill set enables me to apply my risk management talents for the benefit of my clients business, their employees and their numerous stakeholders.
