I am a Hotel is a short musical film made for television. It was written by Leonard Cohen and Mark Shekter and directed by Allan F. Nicholls.It's a romantic musical set in Toronto's historic King Edward Hotel. Leonard presides over all as the spirit of hotel. After leaving CityTV On-Air Promotions I went freelance. My first client was Citytv's The New Music. I was contracted for 20 hours a week to edit the show, though I did what it took to edit everything except many of J.D. Roberts' stories. He edited most of those himself.When the pilot for MuchMusic started, CityLimits, I was given the job of producing that. With host Christopher Ward and a band of ragtag Limitoids, we took over Citytv's airwaves overnight Friday and Saturday.
