• Managed Ivanhoe Energy team responsible for the development of a $1.8 billion oil sands project in Canada. Project included a SAGD central processing facility integrated with a heavy oil upgrading unit.• Developed and engineered, in alliance with SBM Offshore, an innovative standalone heavy oil FPSO solution which incorporates a heavy oil upgrading process into traditional topside production facilities.• Led business development and engineering for a $1 billion crude oil production facility in Mexico in coordination with multi-national partners.• Operated the HTL demonstration facility to improve the technology and mitigate first-of-a-kind technology implementation risk. Co-inventor of seven issued patents and patents pending. Author of multiple articles marketing the technology in major industry periodicals.• Initiated business development activities and led new midstream venture into Colombia. Established relationships with potential oil production partners. Appraised business cases and generated strategic plans forward.
