United States Southern Command

* Manage and supervise a team of 4 Installers in daily operations such as scheduling, assigning tickets, projects, providing training, managing leave and evaluation of work. * Assisted in the management and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for the Installation Team in accordance to DoD regulations and Network Cabling Standards. * Responsible for conducting site surveys for new installs, the wiring of new cables, and the installation of Classified/Unclassified computers and servers that connect to the network. * Ensures all changes made to the building layout, and furniture modifications are annotated and updated in AutoCad. * Responsible for overseeing the cabling of Southern Commands Inside and Outside Plant, Data Infrastructure and Network Connectivity. * Troubleshoot any and all Network Connectivity issues until the problem has been diagnosed, identified and corrected. * Responsible for maintaining and updating records of all Network Data Drops within the Communications Closets and Data Center for both Classified & Unclassified systems. * Work directly with the 525th Requirements, Plans, and Exercise with daily O&M issues, Exercise related setups, creating BOMs (Bill of Materials) to ensure materials are ordered and maintain proper inventory. * Proven the ability to work under pressure with excellent leadership, management, communication, customer service, and problem solving skills.

United States Southern Command

• Responsible for handling daily work orders and tasks ranging from new installs, wiring of new cables, installation of CPU’s & servers. I play a key role in troubleshooting copper, fiber, and network connectivity throughout the Command.• Terminated Over 1,000+ Keyed LC-LC Fiber connectors using an Anaerobic Polishing technic. Ran over 10,000ft of copper & fiber cables throughout the Southern Command compound. • Assisted in various exercises that required over 2,000ft of cable. These cables needed to be ran and terminated for various conference rooms in the Command as well as the CCA. This requirement was needed to support the RPE’s Exercise Team. • Accepted and completed 150+ tasks for work orders for the Month of February, 2015. Also participated in the Lifecycle of MARFORSOUTH’s computers for a total of 107 pc’s, 58 monitors and 19 VOIP phones. • Responsible for the patching of several home-runs that inner-connect the whole campus, via the Data Center. Assisted in the Removal of Copper Cabling that is no longer required in the Data Center due to the decommissioning of servers.

Southern Command

• Worked with a team to install, operate, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of telecommunication equipment and encryption devices to include but not limited to Multiplexers, Matrix Switch, IDNX/Promina, TNX-1100/210, KIV-7, KIV-19, KYK-13, AN CYZ-10, KG-175, KG-75. •Monitor network activity through INMS and What’s up Gold.•Quickly isolated any outages and alarms. Coordinated with other TCF’s and Network Operations Centers to resolve outages and alarms. Trouble shot circuit outages down to the cable, card, device or component. Reported all outages with Remedy reporting system.•Supervised and assisted in the implementation and development of Telecommunication Service Orders (TSO) and Telecommunication Service Request (TSR).•Used a verity of test equipment for fault isolation and network testing to include but not limited to, FIREBERD, multi-meter, power meter, spectrum analyzer, and oscilloscope.
