Navini Networks Inc., acquired by Cisco Systems Inc. December 2007 for $330 Million* Played a critical role during the Navini Networks acquisition due-diligence phase with Cisco to provide technical overview, quality process overview; and forward looking total engineering budgets.* Wireless designs employed large numbers of DSPs and FPGAs. Largest design employed 52 processors and 52 FPGAs. Average schematic was 100 pages of design. PCBs typically 12-18 layers included 3.125GHz Serial RapidIO lanes, 2.5GHz PCIe 2.0 lanes, multiple 800MHz DDR-2 RAM busses.

* Architected and designed several consumer modems and digital section of 3G MC-SCDMA macrocell basestations offering a 50% cost reduction over the previous generation. Product later evolved to support 4G WiMAX 802.16e. * Designed multiple FPGAs and CPLDs in VHDL for system control and GPS satellite synchronization and holdover functionality.* Provided debug, root cause analysis, and bring up for PowerPC based cellular basestation line cards and backhaul components. Additionally designed manufacturing test systems and JTAG boundary scan software.
