I graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and minors in Math, Physics and Chemistry. My work experience has mainly been in public health as a member of National Health Corps North Florida serving as a Health Educator at the Dye-Clay Family YMCA and currently as a Program Assistant for the Family Nutrition Program at the Clay County UF/IFAS Institute.In my current role, I facilitate the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education in Clay County Florida teaching low income populations nutrition and financial techniques with the goal of reducing chronic diseases and improving overall quality of life. I also evaluate effectiveness and maintain records of demographics.While working full-time in my current position, I have decided to go back to school. After taking another math course, I realized that mathematics was a passion and skill of mine that I could pursue and use to achieve a more stable and rewarding job. I have decided to study actuarial science with the goal of obtaining an ASA and eventually an FSA.
