Creating new products and maintaining legacy systems for combatants: Cyber transport, radar based warning systems, training devices, ground systems, including total management of foreign military sales to eight nations.

Procurement, logistics, and engineering support to combatants. Product areas included Tactical Vehicles (MRAP's, HMMWV's), Special vehicles (Aircraft Fuel Trucks, Tow Vehicles, Crash Fire Trucks, De-Icers), and general purpose vehicles. Support equipment included aircrew flight equipment (G-suits, masks), common ejection seats (ACES-II, Martin Baker), Engine support equipment (hush houses, borescopes, trailers), Munitions Handling, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), and Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR).

With a mission to prepare the Department of Defense to defeat enemies using CBRN weapons (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear), our tasks in "Chem/Bio" included researching new vaccines, medicines, detection devices, personal protection equipment, computer-based simulations of agents, and strategies that supported international engagements. I validated requirements and oversaw the budgeting and finance processes, and chaired a Laboratory Commanders council the sought consensus and cooperation among the Nation's seven elite chem/bio research laboratories.

Accountable for 54 B-52'S, 930 airmen, and both nuclear and conventional bombing missions (readiness, training, test flights, deployments, and optimizing/economizing resources). During this time we operated in both Europe and Guam. In addition, I deployed to the middle east as an expeditionary squadron commander for U-2's, Global Hawk's, AWACS, and Tankers.

- Assessed UAV’s for 3 months in Iraq; 2nd in command of 15-person expert team; led to new Army program- Resolved service UAV budgets (research, procurement, ops/maintenance, construction)—$6 billion value- Coordinated airborne imagery collection plans & all UAV deployment orders; balanced service needs- Briefed UAVs to Congressional staffers 6 times; member of an expert panel that gave closed intelligencetestimony to House Appropriations subcommittee on Defense; resulted in budget support for a new project

- Planned/programmed Global Hawk budget & requirements; guided it through Pentagon & Congressional reviews- Reported financial data, test progress, contract actions; briefed congressional staffers 28 times, won support for a dramatic expansion of the program- Head of US delegation to NATO Air Group 7 (for UAVs); built consensus for requirements & airworthiness- Arranged Pentagon approvals for a Global Hawk demostration in Germany; worked airspace & spectrum certifications to enable flights;
