My duties, at Dominion’s Surry Nuclear Power Station (SPS), included Visual Testing (VT 2 & VT 3), ASME Code compliance inspection (ISI testing), Equipment Reliability, Predicative Analysis and Periodic Testing Coordination, to ensure regulatory compliance. SPS began their fourth ASME code interval in approximately 2005; subsequently I oversaw the creation.

I was a nuclear control room operator at Dominion’s Surry Power Station. My duties included operating and monitoring various pieces of equipment (pumps, reverse osmosis units, etc.), water treatment, unit shutdown and startup, refueling of the reactor, handling of taggouts (lockouts), etc. In addition I performed Visual Testing (VT 2 & VT 3) inspections.
