As a Senior Investment Adviser at Shaw and Partners, I advise clients in all aspects of investment management, with the key focus of owning and controlling specific investments directly. People who already have more than $1m of investable assets who want to build and protect this asset base. I show both of these groups the specific direct investment to own, the basics of which structures to use, with a big emphasis on the wonderful structure that is the Self Managed Super Fund, which I run and coordinate for my clients, which is the most transparent and flexible of all superannuation structures to me.Essentially I use the same investment selection in a clients personal name, a discretionary trust or an investment corporation as within superannuation, superannuation typically just just makes it more tax effective.
